Dr. Brian Custer was born and raised in Coldwater, Michigan. He is a third generation graduate of the University of Toledo. He received his DMD from Case Western School of Dental Medicine and completed his General Practice Residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Dr. Custer has experience in pediatric, cosmetic and sports dentistry, as well as oral surgery.
Dr. Custer holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Toledo Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Custer’s hobbies include scuba diving, golfing, fishing, shooting sports, gardening and cooking. He also enjoys spending time with his family at their cottage in Northern Michigan. A lot of Dr. Custer’s family lives in the Toledo area, including his sister who is a medical student at UTMC. He is an avid fan of Toledo sports, which include the Walleyes, the Mudhens, and UT Rocket football. Throughout his undergraduate years, he was a member of the UT Rocket Marching Band, playing the saxophone.
Dr. Custer also supports the Toledo community by being a member of the Toledo Zoo and Art Museum. He was a nominee of the 2016 Toledo’s “20 under 40 awards” for his continued work for the underserved population at the Dental Center of Northwest Ohio and his participation in Ohio’s Give Kids a Smile Day since 2011.
